Strike! Strike! For Women's Rights!

Actually, the picture is from a Garment Workers' strike in Rochester, NY.

Many, many thanks to Prop Your Hips Up Afterwards for conceiving of this blog design and finding me the starter picture. And even more thanks to Ezra for granting me (almost) unlimited control of his computer (the one with photo-editing software) and putting up with my nonstop "Come here and help me with this!" "No, no! Go away!" and so forth.

Let us all now bask in the glow of my spiffy new digs while Ezra and I dig up the paperwork for our first RE appointment, which is only four days away! While you're basking, feel free to leave some advice on how to prepare for this fateful meeting...

Love your new look. Prop is just too creative for her own good, I do believe.

So which side are your ovaries on, anyway? ;)

How to prepare for your first appointment: plan to go out for breakfast / lunch / dinner afterward? That was always the biggest bright spot for me, getting to have a date with Lance on a weekday.

Might not be doable with your work schedules, but maybe after work...

They're totally not on my side. Duh. They're on strike. And I'm a Robber Barren...er, Baron. That means they hate me, see?

lovely, absolutely lovely!

As for your appointment, I agree with 'seph - Hubby and I went and had a coffee date after our first appointment. Allow yourself lots of time for after the appointment to rehash everything the RE says.

We were so overwhelmed by the amount of information, we were scribbling notes like crazy, so afterwards, we compared our notes.

I had found a list of questions for your first appointment on ATIME's site, but I can't find it now. Not all the questions applied to us, but some of them were helpful, others were simply practical. I'm mad that I can't find the page, but maybe someone else has a link to it? Or maybe I can track it down in the next day or so...

And here I thought your answer was going to be

One on EACH side. Duh.

Very, very, cool.

Oh, and persephone is right, you totally missed the opportunity for a one-liner.

FYI: My RE said that if metformin alone didn't do the trick for me, he might consider next trying me on metformin + letrozole as opposed to metformin + clomid. At least some of it had to do with letrozole not adversely effecting uterine lining and implantation, as clomid can/does. Though letrozole for this purpose has not been studied nearly as much as clomid, and it might've had to do with my particular situation. I am definitely not giving assvice here, I am just bringing it up in case it is something you hadn't heard of and want to research or ask about before or at the meeting.

Good luck!

Anon - Thanks for mentioning the letrozole. I actually have read about it, and we were planning on discussing it at the appointment, but I keep forgetting to mention it here!

Speak up!
